Been Looking at a boat on Ebay... Fletcher 19 GTS 2007 MODEL 1.7TDI Starting bid 9k. I thought this boat would go for 23k or more. but sold for 16k
I was told on this forum that you can get bargains... but did not think this much of a bargain. Why can you get these bargains with boats but not cars...is it the volume of used boats for sale that reduces them to giveaway prices. Hope the same happens to me this winter when I buy my boat:rolleyes:

what is the new price of such a boat? I am told this is a good time to buy a boat because sales have decreased of late, just like the slump in house prices!!! I am looking for my first boat also, best of luck in your search.

Usual things about boats being more of a luxury item than cars, and the price/value only being what someone is willing to pay. You can get a bargain. I did.:D

23k? Are you mad??

I bought one of those in 2007, and it was one year old (It was renamed Panther). Not a single scratch on it, and 6 hours on the engine. All sitting on a twin axle trailer.

I paid £17k for it! And I loved it, sorry I ever sold it

Do these boats loose value quickly. 30k new... and three years on you paid
17k . Looking on the internet at these 2007 models are over 20k

I should say that back when I bought the panther, she was originally advertised at 23k (1 yr old). Ended up paying 17k :D Eager seller, and eager buyer!
