Bareboat Charter in Ibiza?

Hi, Anyone know of a decent bareboat charter company in Ibiza, I may be looking for a one week charter in June. Flybridge boat around 40ft would do quite nicely. Many thanks.

John it's not exactly the answer you're looking for because they're in Palma but I can recommend Vittesse charters. Big fleet of Fairlines and similar. No connection; I was just a customer years ago and they were good to deal with.

Remember to rent a boat with a big water tank if going to Ibiza, because berths are scarce

As jfm has suggested, I'm not aware of any mobo charter companies in Ibiza although I guess there are one or two. However, most chartered mobos come from Majorca where there are plenty of charter co's. Vitesse is certainly one. I used to have my boat with Barry Lawrence at http://www.mallorcacruising.co.uk/. He's a straight bloke. You might find it more difficult to charter a 40 footer bareboat rather than skippered as most owners of larger boats prefer only skippered charter.
Ibiza is a beautiful cruising area (IMHO the finest in the W Med based on my experience) but the problem is that everybody else thinks so too which means that its hideously crowded in season and the marinas are outrageously expensive, even if you can get a berth which you usually can't. I heard that Botafoch marina in Ibiza Town were charging €375/night for a 15m berth in August last year. So best time to go is early June or late Sept unless you're willing to anchor out every night which you can do perfectly well but as jfm says you need a big water tank

Another vote for Vitesse, we've used them too and were satisfied.

We chartered a T51 bareboat from Vitesse, and we've bareboated a Targa 52 in Croatia, so it is possible with larger boats, but you'll need ICC as a minimum (which I guess you have if you're in Spain) and some proof(s) of experience.

One option is to ask for a larger boat with some tuition for the first 2 or 3 days. It can be enjoyable, you learn something and it gives them the confidence to let you loose.
