Planning a passage from Caernarfon/Victoria Dock to Pwllheli tomorrow Monday 20th April, spring tides. Forecast NNE gusting 12kts.
If we make good progress we will be at Bardsey Sound around 1600hrs when the ebb will be running (slack water was at 1240hrs).
Any advice appreciated from people with local knowledge - we have only be through before at slack water.

Sorry too late for you.

For your info this is a useful tidal stream atlas that has been developed by local canoe experts for Bardsey

Doubt you had any problems given a northerly aur stream and you were not fighting the tide.

Thank you for the link. Yes fine through Bardsey Sound at 10knots.
I found a useful and reassuring post on Pwllheli SC describing going thru on the ebb and carrying that across Hells Mouth. Really nice sail in the sunshine.

That's a useful set of charts. Do you know if anything similar exists for Jack Sound?
