We have this system on Cornish Maid. To be honest, we weren't too pleased to begin with. I had behind mast reefing on my previous boat and it seemed to jam easily, but that was the full lenght battens. This time it has been excellent, even reefing in F6/7, where we eased the clew of the main and wound in on the mast line, which I thought might break something. Since checked at SBS and was assured that this was OK. It hasn't the drive of an ordinary mainsail, but is far cheaper to replace, half the cost of a 'normal' three panel reefing system with lazy jacks. But on our boat, the genoa gives the most drive, so it doesn't seem to matter.
