What boating are we all going to be doing over weekend.Have got 5 day weather forecast and will have to decide if should turn right from mooring and go up Thames to St Kats for 3/4 days or signal left and go up Medway poss to Yalding..Forecast is giving F6.So think decision has been made for me.

Anybody else got anything planned, could be last half decent bit of weather till next year.

We've got a family fun day on Sunday with the club. At Mudeford. Tow toys, barbeque, that sort of stuff. Think I'll be taking the boat solo from Lymington and meet the rest of the family there as it looks like it might be a bit rough on current forecasts.

I think I'll cut some logs and light my woodburner! And try and forget about the boat, Dartmouth Regatta et al.

Roll on summer 2005.

Up left it is then.

Think we will turning left this Friday.Have been looking at latest online Medway guides PDF giving airdrafts and depths.Have been to Yalding a couple of times but no further. All bridges from Maidstone to Tonbridge are min 2.55m so no real problem.Fly in ointment is 1.2m draft in one spot.Would like to get to a mooring spot near Ford Green Bridge. Are you familier with the stretch up to Tonbridge.Been up there, but many many years ago in a much smaller boat.

Yes im familiar with it. Big boats always manage to get up there without any problems. The only thing to bear in mind is when you moor up, come in slowly as it tends to be shallow in places and there is always an evil cross wind to blow you away from the bank. Otherwise i should imagine you will get up there with no problems as long as you can get under the bridges
