Recently opened underneath the office at Port Hamble. Seemed to be well booked up inside on Saturday but found a table on the large terrace with parasols and heaters. Good meal and went back the next morning for the buffet breakfast - £8.95 but you got a big plate and could fill it with what you wanted and still go back for more, toast, tea and coffee included.
Only slight annoyance - they wanted a card to set up a "tab" when they bought the starters - claimed that people had left without paying. I have a reluctance to giving my card to strangers and them taking it out of my sight for a couple of hours, so I insisted on paying cash as every course arrived! Would still go back though.
