As a new guy to the post just wanted to inform about some neat stuff just off my slip in Baltimore harbor. This weekend is the 200th anniversary of the writing of our national anthem. Ft. McHenry and Baltimore have gone all out. Over the past several days over 30 tall sailing and military ships have come to the harbor. The blue angels have been practicing for their show Saturday and Sunday. Ft. McHenry will host a "dawns early light" extravaganza. PBS will broadcast this evening a show filled with nationalism and pride before the largest fireworks display since 2000 from six barges around the harbor. It is a party atmosphere and we are all very proud of our region. Boats have come in from all over and a million folks are expected.
