Baie de Canebiers, St Tropez, Lunch stop

Yes, the Canebiers and pampelonne beach restaurants generally have tenders buzzing around to pick you up. (La garoupe and Villefranche also, but I cant think of any others in CDA)

When we were there they came out in their rib as soon as we had anchored to see if we wanted lunch..

When I anchored my old tub there nobody came to ask me. They probably assumed I couldn't afford lunch.

<they would've been right :o :D >

I want to anchor for lunch at one of the beach bars/resturants East of St Trop, any tips? preferably one that will pick us up from the boat to save getting in the dingy, there will be 6 of us so can you book?

thanks
Le garners -we have used this v good
Bottom L of pic ,on the beach - -they have a jetty + rib .Either turn up and stand on bathing platform ,of pref book if 6 -+ busy day
Then 5 min walk into the back of St Trop for guests if newbies -but check you insurance re leaving a vessel anchored , if Unattened ?

Something that always has amused me is that where ever you are in the world the people on the boats want to be on the beach and the people on the beach always want to be on the boats!

It ain't necessarily so. In years gone by when I kept my boat in Brighton, it was always very nice to be anchored *off* the beach, and I never had any desire at all to be *on* the beach... :D
