If you had asked that about 15 yrs ago - I could have given you lots of info, as I used to work with a large charter co which had a big interest in The Bahamas:)

Are you looking for bare-boat or crewed?

I believe The Moorings operates there still.

Beautiful places for sailing - just take care with crossing the extensive banks (lots of coral heads etc). Stay away from the Cruise liner stops and you should have a wonderful time. But any good charter co will brief you on all of this.

If you have any further questions I shall jog my memory a bit more.

The Moorings operates out of the Abacos as Nautic Blue, web site www.nauticblue.com. The Abacos are great, but for a bit more adventure I'd charter out of Nassau and head for the Exumas. Hawksbill Cay must be one of the most beautiful places on earth. A bit further south you have Big Majors Spot and Staniel Cay, and if you have time and want a run out in the ocean, go right down to George Town. There will be over 500 cruising boats in the harbour there - sundowners at impromptu beach parties and "rake and shake" in town. I'm a year or two out of date with Nassau, and I've never chartered, but you should find something on the internet.
