In a moment of unusual generosity I proceeded to checkout on Gaelforce's site to buy a stockingfiller for crew - a light identifying gadget sliderule thing. Will post as packet I expect. £15 to buy. Then, £7 to post. Purchase not confirmed. Crew probably relieved. Find myself still grumpy after all these years. Seven quid standard delivery!:eek:

Ha Ha. Don't leave that near the compass! I keep one in my pocket for the dog. He's obsessed by sticks so if he's keen on a ruckus, or someone elses sausages, or generally misbehaving, I just get it out and wave it at him.

I have to Apologise for this, when the new website went live a year or so ago, a lot of products were taken into standard courier carriage as a bulk transfer from the old site - this is a default £6.99 as charged by Parcelforce. We are looking at all the products as and when we get alerted to them and if they qualify for the 1st class packet carriage (under 0.5kg and under £25 in value) we're changing them.

The other approach is you can give us a call or drop us an email about this, and if it can be sorted for cheaper carriage, we'll do so for you.

If you're still looking for this, feel free to drop me a p/m and i'll sort it out for you if I can.

Apologies again for the inconvenience there and thanks for bringing it to my attention! ;)

Excellent response!... top marks for addressing so quickly!!

FWIW, I can completely relate to this problem.... you want to try handling it when you've got 650,000 products in your range, and in 3 different quantities as standard.... nightmare! :D
