I've had a couple of seasons where I've covered the props in lanolin to keep the banacles away during extended periods away from the boat.
I do this by bringing the legs up and hanging over the platform and slap it on underwater. It worked!! however the last couple of seasons I've also had problems with ripped gaiters, I think the two events are related, perhaps the barnacles on the gaiters are ripping the gaiters when the leg is in the uppermost position??
Sorry for the preamble but on this forum a few years ago was a discussion on bagging the props while away.......does anyone have experience of this?

This is an interesting item. I wonder why it's not been referred to more often, if it works? It would certainly save a lot of scraping and cut fingers. Presumably a black bag would perform best as it would cut out most of the light.
