Anyone know who's left that bloody great aircraft carrier anchored just off the end of my pier at Ryde?

Apparently Osama Bin Laden turned up at the Wightlink office in Portsmouth with a plan to fill a ferry with semtex and ram it, but only being a multimillionaire he couldn't afford a ticket! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks like you've upset them - they are off at 1030 tomorrow. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

We had the devil's own job getting the mooring fees from them though. "Right Sir, that's 334m for six nights at £5 /m/night. That's £10,020 please sir - no, we don't take American Express I'm afraid, cash only" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Been trying - mates RIB with 90 hoss outboard doesn't seem to have quite enough torque, , , , , ,

Thought we'd tow them into Bembridge to keep them out of the way but it was low water and some of the channel buoys are missing so it might have got exciting. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

We went quite close to her on Saturday and they sent some nice policemen out to try to give us the mooring fees- at least thats what I think they were shouting at us for...
