Bad weather certain to continue until April 2008

I have just spoken to one of my old boating buddies who ALWAYS got the weather right and he says the Jet Stream is too far south so all the depressions are going to engulf the south coast until the Jet Stream moves.

He says it is certain that if the Jet stream has not moved North by June it will not move until next spring.

So thats it, season is over..............

I have always spent time studying the pressure chart predictions and I have noted they have not tracked as usual.

Is there a web page that shows this jet stream ?
Anyone else know much about the jetstream effect ?

It certainly looks as if the 5 lobe pattern which gives us a reasonable summer, is missing and replaced by the present 4 lobe systems..

He right- the jet stream being to low is causing these deprerssions to hit us one after the other and if it does not shift up soon it will be there when its next die to be that low and hence no chance until next Spring!!!!!
Or maybe it will go even lower then and we will get a Scottish winter in the south and Scoltand an artic winter?
Thats means france would get British weather and ....... etc

I have enjoyed a remarkably good season so far. Just been lucky that weather at weekends has been better that weekdays.

Bollox. Any fule kno that the current weather is 100% caused by CO2 fumes from 4x4's and Easyjet planes.
Btw anyone know why the jetstream has moved south and what position was it in when we had our summer over Easter? Is it that easy? Jetstream further south = depressions over UK. Why do we need a Met Office when it's so simple?

Pah, all you need is a few pilot reports, a couple of weather balloons and a puter model. No need for a bloated multi million pound Met Office who can't accurately predict the weather tomorrow let alone next week
