Bad Acting

Can there have been a worse depiction of grief or fear, or whatever it's supposed to be, than the jiggling and gurgling that Ka-ee is presenting us with on Corrie?
Don't the directors on these shows bother to try and make it believable, or is he working with what he's given and can't get it any better?
