Just a quick question about a couple of NASA instruments I have; I've got a new Target 2 depth sounder which has a backlight and an older original Target log (with the smaller display). Does this model also have a backlight and how is it turned on if so? And is this NASA the space people?

Thanks in advance.

The older models had a separate orange lead for the backlight which you could connect to an external switch.
Newer models just have two wires and lighting controlled by pressing SET button.
