Back on the road/water this weekend

Have given the go ahead to the garage to carry out the repairs on my trailer following this weekend's arguement between the nearside wheel and a metal bollard.. the wheel lost /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

New 175/80/13 wheel and tyre, straighten a stud on the axle/wishbone clamp, weld handbrake brackets back on and give the galvanised wheel arch a thump with a hammer to turn it back in to an arch from its current triangular form.. £230 all in.. can't believe the price of the wheels to be honest, shockingly expensive and near enough half the total bill /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif


The good news is that I'll be down to Lymington for some more boating practice together with a good degree of trailer care on the way home /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I guess on the bright side, I managed to stay within the bounds of the South coast last weekend /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif One of those Plastimo Hand Bearing Iris 50 compasses is on order /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Glad you've got your trailer sorted but the price...WOW!
Future ref purposes....try a company called "Towsure" great for spare wheels suspension units trailer boards etc etc

Have had a look at Towsure and they're £70 a wheel + postage so not much in it.. obviously very very special wheels able to withstand a high energy impact or two so worth every penny..... not /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

me too mate, have lost the long haired hippy eldest son and it's just myself and the young'un.. swmbo is out on the town again but should be out with us for the first time next weekend at Reedham, I'm then in France with the lad's for a week fishing in the Champagne region and then hopefully, Deb will be with us down Lymington the weekend of the 27th July.

Taking a couple of rod's this weekend to see if we can drown a few lug worms and maybe catch a fish in the process /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
