I've been waiting for almost a week to get round from Dover to the Thames.

The high pressure always seems to be coming but it certainly is taking its time. Trip put back to Thursday now but Friday looks more promising.

Don't suppose I should complain - after all it is only August !!!

Well theres some HP in the north west this weekend, perhaps we can send some over.

SV is hoping at last to make the journey from Malahide to Holyhead today, and it looks pretty good for teh weekend up here weather wise.

I sympathise with you Andrew.

Had the last two weeks of July off, and spent 6 days of it in Ramsgate. Not funny, especially when that swell comes in on the flood. Only time i've felt seasick with the boat tied to a pontoon!!

That trip is almost always a rough one! so just bit the bullit and go, no point in hanging on for smooth seas round the North Forland! Try and take the tide with wind in the same direction though! wind against tide can get a bit naughty.

Update from Ramsgate

Day trip to Margate by bus, really appreciated how nice Ramsgate really is:-} Weather looks very viable tomorrow, at the moment anyway. Will report from Dunkerque if there is wifi available. Off at 06:00 to beat the rush.
