B&G chartplotter upgrade

I suspect it should be possible to update the software, changing a ROM or something.
My unit is a monochrome 10" made in 1996, and it reports "Geosoft Rev.97.1".
Is there anyone who has a newer version and/or know any support center which might help?
It seems that at B&G they are too busy to answer e-mail requests...

No feedbacks at all is quite unespected from what is (was maybe?) the most useful boating forum around...
And don't tell me that the question was too tricky - I do know there are some pros in this community.
OK, I'm making this silly post just to bring it back on top of the list...

B&G are useless when it come to the internet/email. THey are still 20 years behind. Call them and ask for technical support - I got a fairly good answer from one of their support people.
