Coming up from the far North for LIBS and those precious pennies I have left after buying trinkets for mistress will be donated to Arthur Guinness's "good causes" stand. Should I bring my sleeping-bag and join like-minded worthies on the Embankment or could somebody suggest a reasonable and proximate B&B not operated by Dick Turpin's descendants?

That part of London more likely to be descendants of the Kray Brothers or Jack the Ripper.

Actually Turpin was one of a gang of smugglers on the Dengie 100. The graveyards thereabouts are full of Turpins. Do not stray too far into Essex lest we get you....

No intention of straying anywhere near Essex and the Glottle Estuary English.

What is the "Dengie 100"? Sounds like a horrible tropical fever!
