The Azores High is back in place.
The wind here is back its normal NE F5.
Sea Temp is 24 deg C.
We are blasting along with our usual two reefs, 4 students, 20 pilot whales, 10 dolphins and one sunburnt head.

While you haul out for winter I am still wearing shorts and getting sunburnt. The beer is cheap and the Atlantic swell rolls down.

Sailing in the Western Canary Islands is tough but someone has to do it.

Sorry to make you feel sick but I just had to tell you.

(We don´t leave harbour if it involves long trousers).

Forecast of 10 Deg

10 Deg, That´s a bit south of here, but not much

Sailing round the west of Tenerife, the islands of La Gomera, El Hierro
and La Palma.

Twenty to fifty mile passages on one tack with a steady 4/5 on the beam.

And I have to do it every week.

Pilot Whales? Didn\'t know they could fly...

...And another thing - I thought reefs were fixed to the seabed and made of coral and you go and shatter my understanding of all things marine by suggesting that you take your usual two reefs with you. I need to do more reading about this sailing game - it's not as straightforward as I thought...

BTW, isn't the plural of 'reef' reefi?

Yours sincerely,

Green with Envy of England
