I would be interested in hearing of anyone who has attempted this and how you got on especially route and time taken ....

The mapping authority for the United Kingdom, the Ordnance Survey, records the coastline of the main island, Great Britain, as 11,072.76 miles rounding to 11,073 miles (17,820 km). If the larger islands are added the coastline, as measured by the standard method at Mean High Water Mark, rises to about 19,491 miles (31,368 km).

Could take a while at 5kts average.:o

The question is a fair one though, and the record is held by an all woman crew in 2009

Record-breaking yachtswoman Dee Caffari, 36, skippered the 2,500 nautical mile challenge on board her 60ft yacht Aviva, taking six days, 11 hours, 30 minutes and 53 seconds.

Assuming you are a bit slower, you should do it in a week.

Hello Nick, also non-stop ?. What are your thoughts re time it will take ?
Alan

(Note to self- read all of a post!) No, definitely not non-stop, I'm interested in all the best stops and what to miss and what is un-missable.

I could even get somewhere so good to me I'd consider staying a year.
