Got a couple of free days in Rhode Island so thought I would get to visit the Nat Herreshoff museum. Just my luck. Closed Monday and Tuesday....

Are you in Newport?
There is (I think) the Museum of Yachting there still - I was last there 15 years ago, and had a trundle round then.
A favourite watering hole then for grotty yotties like us was The Ark on Thames (pronounced 'Fames') Street.
Mystic Seaport is not too far away - could be worth a visit?

love jamestown. Lived just a wee bit off the bridge there for a few years on a mooring. Mystic as far as museums go is top prize. Did you get to Mystic aquarium another treat. They have the best octopuss behind glass Ive ever seen
