The only Avons made of PVC were, I think you will find, the (rebadged) Typhoon range. ( I know about those because i have one.) All the rest were Hypalon.
You will find a list of inflatable makes versus materials on the Polymarine website along with some simple tests that will identify the material where any doubt exists
