Avon R280 info?

Does anyone know how much the older ones weigh! How do they differ from Redstarts that everyone seems to suggest.

Any info gratefully received. I don't really want anything over 50KG to haul up onto the boat - presume they are 8' long - thanks

The basic R280 weighs 25kg, plus whatever kind of floor you might have.The main difference from the Redstart and Redcrest is that the R280 has a transom stern, which makes it easier for fitting an outboard. The redcrest is 18kg +floor.

Co-incidentally, I have an R280 sitting in my garage, looking for a good home.
