I have an Avon 320 SC jetrib with a weber engine, she has been laid up for about 1 year and started using today (thanks to the great weather), It ran fine for about 10 mins and then lost all power and kept cutting out and constantly misfired.

Any idea what it could be?

About to try that - added stabilizer and awaiting new spark plugs.... will let you know how it goes?

Almost certainly fuel. Almost.

Forget stabilisers really, junk the old stuff (mix it into your car fuel, making sure you have plenty fresh in the car first) and refill with fresh stuff.

Small carb engines are notoriously sensitive to fuel quality, the EFI in your car will be much better at dealing with it as long as the concentration isn't too great.

This engine is multipoint EFI. In fact it is a very complex machine indeed: EFI, turbo charged + water CAC in the higher power version, 4 valve twin cam head, dry sump, freshwater cooling jacket, etc. Access to anything to fix it can be hard esp in the Avon. OP will see for example that changing the plugs isn't straightforward- coils are mounted on heads of plugs iirc. I hope the problem is just bad fuel but the from the symptoms described especially the ten minutes of good running it is too hard to say. Good luck!

Maybe the fuel in the lines not being exposed to air didn't deteriorate as badly as that in the tank so the first few minutes was ok until it got to sucking up bad fuel from the tank and then ran into problems.

Thats very similar symptoms to the problem we had with ours about 10 years ago.
Our JetRib was a 2003ish vintage.
Kept cutting out after it got warm.
Took it to an expert who stripped it.
The automatic (2 stroke) oiling system had failed and the bores were all scored.
The expert rebored it (expensive) and we removed the automatic oil system - then just premixed the fuel in the tank.
From then on it worked.
But as JFM says, they are a real pig to work on and always going wrong.
Good luck.

Yep - good theory there! Hopefully fresh fuel will fix it then
