I'd divide the cruising game into two parts - getting to the cruising area and pottering round the designated area.
If we call the first "passage making" I reckon 80-100M as being a day-trip, with 400M the maximum I'd try in one hop.
When we come to "cruising" I reckon 25 -30M as being a comfortable day trip.
My boat is 29'10" waterline and was designed a single-handed offshore racer.
95% of my passage-making is single-handed (hence the 400M, because you start to hallucinate after about 48 hours without sleep).
Nearly all my cruising is accompanied (by my wife usually, who objects to conditions in which her G&T might get spilt).
