Hi am looking to fit a 9.9 Mercury kicker outboard on a merry. Fisher 795 Marlin.. The port swimming platform looks like a suitable place...any advice on suitable brackets fitting etc, will be gratefully received as starting from scratch...

Because you want to put it on a swim platform you probably need a bracket like this

The adjustable spring brackets and other types can only fit to a vertical transom, only one of the lip types can be fitted to a platform edge
