A few photographs taken a weekend or so ago.A stretch of river between the tidal lock at Allington and East Farleigh lock .We cannot go any further up due to the low bridge just beyond.
Although just about the most urban bit of the navigation, dense tree cover, makes for very pleasant journey.
A walk up to the Bull Pub for supper, overnight on the EA pile moorings listening to the weir and back down late afternoon to catch the tide back home on Sunday.

Waiting for the big Spring tide to ebb a bit in order to scrape under Aylesford Bridge and then dash to make lock.

Only thing to be careful of is draft, probably max of about 1.5m in places, but keep dead in the middle and everything should be OK.
We have about 50mm to spare twixt fly and arch on Maidstone Bridge.

Most impressed with your new purchase,do all those ropes hanging down do something ? :)

H,mm there was alot of c**p floating in that bit of the river, perhaps we could ask the Thames boys to cough up a few of their spare millions and sub us the price of a quick clean up.
Maybe they could have a whip round on our behalf or perhaps cut back on the Champers and canapes in order for us to go about our business in safety.
