Looking for some switching advice. Problem is in fitting new autopilot, Raymarine type 2 hydraulic. My current autopilot panel ON/OFF switch is rated for 10 amps, seemed to work for my old type 1 autopilot, but probably to small. Raymarine recommend a 30 circuit breaker, which is fitted. My question should I change the ON/OFF switch to match the recommended max current. If yes having difficulty finding a miniature rocker switch with screw terminal, current switch type fitted, capable of the current. Can get a 25 amp toggle switch through the auto /motorsport routes (ebay as well) but will mean some minor mods to control panel. (http://www.motorsport-tools.com/12v...-terminal-25-amp-race.html#13940973735841&268)
The other option I'm considering is a 30 amp relay, again seem to be plenty available through the auto route. But to me seem to add another level of complexity and will involve some difficulty in fitting as regards terminal type, lucar, as I'm looking for a screw terminal. This seemed to be a relay which covered all options, as regard load and terminal type, would it do the job? (http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/30a-spdt-power-relay-12dc-n23aw)
Any opinions on which route to follow, switch or relay. and one other question, is there any fitting to go from a lucar terminal to a screw terminal?

The power for the ram does not ( i think) come via the switch panel but via a relay that is switched by the panel / a/h computer

The power for the hydraulic pump is controlled by a relay inside the RM autopilot. All I can suggest is KISS. My system is controlled via the 30 amp breaker on the distribution board. Nothing else is required.
