Automatic Wipers

I was looking at the Vetus switch modules in order to have an intermittent wiper function, I also spotted the option to interface a rain sensor with them, handy I thought on a dry day when you just get the odd bit of spray. Then I took a look on ebay and found this

Seems to do all the same things but was wondering if the forum has any thoughts on how effective this may be.

Fine but needs gearing up to the window washers, else you will just have a window full of salt spray.

The factory fitted rain sensors on cars are set off if you lick your finger and wipe it over the sensor. Not sure, but it might be a bit sensitive ?
