My Autohelm wind instruments have been working fine all season (the masthead unit was serviced at the start) and was showing correctly True and Apparent direction and speed. The log for speed is also working.
Now the True direction has stopped working… it just points vertically to 0 degrees at the rope and double dashes in the wind speed.
Switch to Apparant and all is correct (which confirms the masthead unit is all still working). Photo shows speed log and Apparant wind working. No recent change to wiring.
The only thing I can think of is a loose connection at the back of the Autohelm
Unit where it’s gets the speed data ?
Before I start taking everything apart, has anybody solved the same issue or other suggestions? TIA
