Autohelm Tridata temperature

anybody know why my tridata works ok on speed and depth but doesnt show temperature? just a series of dashes. is it the transducer?

Probably the transducer.

Mine consistently tells me the water is 235ºC. I have to remember not to fall in!

But equally, it could be a bad connection.

Why do they always give us these features which break down?

try checking the connections at the back of the unit. everything else is encapsulated. failing that i'd say it would be the transducer. if you can borrow a spare from an obliging chandler it would resolve the question. mine wiorks fine.
