I know it can be done because I have done it before on a Tridata ST50 and the hand book tells you ow to do it, but for some reason the key press order they show does'nt work, I am sure I changed the depth over once but cannot do it now blease help

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I have both these instruments, on the cockpit bulkhead, together with log and compass. Down below I have the GPS and a repeater for all these. I have never read that you can use your two as repeaters, they only have th possibility of indicating their own data. The tridata shows 3 instrument functions. Pls clarify

Hi The tridata can be used as a repeater, this I am sure of as I have been useing it as such, the ST50 Depth has the instructions in the hand book and shows you how to do it but the key press they give will not change it over, I am sure that in the past I found a way but cannot remember how I did it, I have found mistakes in the handbooks in the past.
Like you I have compass, windspeed, and now having fitted the speed transducer the tridata to give me speed through the water so that the wind will now give me tru and apr wind, although why it uses speed through the water to calculat this I realy dont know, it should use SOG from the GPS to give this correctly, I did once contact Ratheon about thisbut they failed to reply. I also have the Multidata in the cockpit which relays all the GPS data. I have finally got rid of all my original Stow instruments and changed to ST50 and now they are out of date, but I will be staying with them. I have the Autohelm connected to the seatalk, and its all run by an old 12year Ratheon 600x plotter and radar, I must say I love messing about with this gear, nex on the list is the GSC VHF I did the course last Sunday, once everybody has this system it will be great to be able to call up on MMSI number andonly disturb the boat you are wanting to talk to.
