Autohelm 2000

Any experts out there on setting up an Autohelm 2000?
After following the instructions to the letter my Autohelm still struggles to keep my boat, a Kelt 850 lift keel, on a decent straight track. The autohelm has been checked by raymarine with no faults found.
One strange thing, when the autohelm was returned to me it was set up as a AH800 and seemed to work better in this mode (it is a simple matter of pressing a few keys to reconfigure between the AH800,1000 and 2000) so it is obvious that I just need to get the right combination of settings in the AH2000 mode but what are they !!!!????

I have a 2000 but could not advise you how to set it up as previous owner did mine. However I did have a bad electrical connection and the Autohelm played up because the voltage was low. It might be worth checking you have a good 12 volts+ at the terminal when it is playing up.
