Auto Helm ST30

Hi I picked up a "brand new" ST30 Depth at Beaulieu and am a bit confused about how to fit the transducer....there has been some discussion about which oil to use with other transducers. Should the ST30 transducer be fitted inside the hull or must it go through the hull?

It would depend on the transducer you have, if its through hull bronze z118 then it will have to go through, if its an in hull type z117 then it can be mounted inside assuming you have a grp boat.
