Our Cetrek 730 auto pilot has until this week performed perfectly, but has decided that it has had enough at the moment. It turns on okay, and the clutch on the motor engages, but after an initial check it seems that although the computer is sending commands the motor is failing to respond. The obvious issue is that Cetrek haven’t been produced since 2005 and new spare parts are to all intents and purposes unobtainable .

Has anybody any suggestions as to where we go from here apart from the obvious which is to buy a new system.?

Use a pair of jump leads to supply 12v to the motor. Does it run?

If it's as simple as a dead motor then I daresay you'll be able to get it repaired at a local starter motor / alternator repair workshop.
