that seems to be less about photography lessons and more about basic clearing up and toilet cleaning practice! Honestly, such simple things could make that boat look so much more appealing. Stupid on both vendor's and agent's parts.

I just don't get it, can't believe it doesn't occur to them to tidy up, can only conclude that neither broker nor vendor can be arsed. It's pathetic really, sausage anyone...

I think you might be right about the broker, but I can believe that people would live among their own clutter for so long that they no longer notice it. That boat's clearly not been to sea for a while!

Presumably the grumpy bugger in the flat cap in the stern cabin is the current owner.

Looks like it could be a very nice boat with a bit of cosmetic fettling (starting with a skip).

Might get a few bob from the BBC Props Department for the radar :D

Classic example of a long term liveaboard. Probably bought it 20 years ago and has not spent anyhing on it since - except acquire more clutter.

Potentially good buy at about half the asking price (which is about half the asking price of one in pristine condition)

Which boat is it that is for sale, or special offer buy one get one free. It never fails to amaze me that when people take a photograph of the object they are trying to sell it happens to be so far away you cannot see the detail, are they hiding something. Or they show the image with people around usually female maybe hoping this will enhance the sale or maybe off loading the female and just include them in the sale?

I thought it quite funny at first, I enjoyed the blue ensign, I liked the solitary sausage and then I began to find it all a bit sad.

I hope I don't end my days living alone like that, in some far off foreign marina

Even the original 'Spray' ( well J. Slocum's ) ended up a bit ragged...

I too thought there's plenty of information in those photo's, just not in the interest of the vendor; so may well be Twister Kens' theory of a hacked off broker is correct !

Those carrier bags stuffed behind the steps remind me of going to do shots of factories and offices when they'd "spent all day cleaning up" by just shoving things out of sight (they thought).

The boat is listed with another broker and described as "a well kept classic". Wisely perhaps there are no photos except the one on the mooring.

I have been trying to persuade swmbo that, at half the price, with the same amount spent again, the result could be quite impressive.

She is not convinced.

She argues that, if a boat is allowed to degenerate to that level of cosmetic abuse, God knows what the systems are like.

Perhaps she is right.
