I've just read 'Bold man of the sea', Jim Shekdhar's account of rowing the Pacific. Mind boggling. As one who gets knackered rowing across a boating lake I'm full of admiration for these guys.
These sites have more details about 'Tiny' Little:-
I read Tom McCleans book about His trans Atlantic row. He built his own boat based on a grand banks fishing dory and was the first to row the atlantic.
He went on to sail the Atlantic in the shortest boat .Someone did it in a shorter one so he cut a bit off and did it again.
I think the boat was called "Difficult passage "or similar.I think the title refers more to the man than his exploits. He had a very hard start in life brought up in an orphanage ,brushes with the law etc .
Have look at this this site. You can access his daily dairy and see his actual course and daily mileage. He has a great personality which you will pick up if your read it. www.oceanrowing.com/Tiny%20Little/dist_map.
