Hello,

I'm looking for the sail specifications (size) for a Atlanta 28 yacht,
I've found some information from sail boat data site, but not the
specific lengths of the main sail or fore sail. Also when the yacht was
production, had it been supplied with a genoa sail of which size 135% or
bigger or smaller. I've been trying to get the MacWester group site but
its down or gone.

Thank you for any help.

Rich

Much better to measure your actual boat as published data is not necessarily accurate. Download a measurement form from any of the sailmaker's websites such as Crusader or Kemps.

Many of those boats were home completed and expect that the original genoa sizes would have varied according to the owner's preferences and the sailmaker's recommendations.

Thank you Tranona, I don't own the yacht, and it has no sails as yet, just trying way up the cost to replace them either second hand or new sails. Taken from the Macwester site: Jeckalls the Sailmakers… (Jeckalls of Wroxham made sails for all of the Macwesters produced in the UK. They still have rigging and sail plans for most Macwesters) so I'm going to contact them.

expect you will find many sailmakers have made sails for those boats and will be able to give you a ball park price - expect about £900 for a Jib and £1300 for a main on winter discount prices. Once you have the sizes Seateach are a good source for used sails. Expect to pay less than half that for good used.

Thank you I've seen this site, my budget is tight, it will be the case of new sails are worth more the yacht.
