Is there a fixed VHF which I can turn on ATIS myself ?

I don't believe it's possible to program a VHF to enable ATIS yourself, however my Icom which I had programmed for ATIS allows me to turn it on/off at will.

It lets you program the ATIS number? Is that a one off similar to when you first enter the MMSI, or can you change it at will?

It's a similar process to entering the MMSI.
You have to enter it, I think, twice to confirm, then it's set in stone.

Well, unless you have a dealer handset to "break the stone"

Standard Horizon GX2100 - user can set MMSI and ATIS id codes, and switch between normal and ATIS modes.
