At Last I\'ve Got It Ahhh!!

After years of near sinking episodes, mostly when aboard, luckily maybe?? But as I'm 310 miles from boat, I always worry about it sinking, or at least enough to do serious damage before anyone notices. Bilge pumps packing in, float switches sticking, I've had both those only last year and the float switch was brand new!!

Anyway a couple of months ago, I got an alarm fitted, well no I did'nt cos he put a little buzzer that I could just about hear with no engines on and a light that took me three days to find.

I am now the proud owner of a claxton type, wake the whole marina up, nuclear powered, loud banging warning device. Or so I am told!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

What you need to do is to test it at 0300 in the morning, when the marina is packed with boats and people. Maybe you could time how long it takes for people to react? and if they are 2 slow, then do it again the following morning, cos they need the practise.

Bloke near me had one on his boat - kept going off at odd times - so we sank the bloody thing - no more problem ! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
