Hi
Blatant advertising but with a boaty theme....
In case you hadn't heard, this Saturday is the Hessett Beer Festival (in Hessett, Suffolk surprisingly) and the event takes place in the grounds of that fine alehouse and food purveyor, the Five Bells, which is run by Sixpence of this forum (or is it his SWMBO that runs it leaving him to post on here?)
Anyhooo, there will be numerous barrels of proper beer available to quaff and food from the Five Bells crew plus, the first appearance out in the real world of Gin Street, the blues/rock band I play in.
If you fancy drinking great beer, eating excellent food whilst listening to some driving boogie blues rock, then Hessett is the place to be.
Many forumites know where to find the pub as there was a major gathering at the launch night/fireworks a year or so ago.
Directions to the pub are on their website here - http://www.fivebellshessett.co.uk/opening-times
Hope to see you there and to support the charities that will benefit from a share of the profits.

Thanks everyone, and Duncan in particular for this thread :o
Just to add, another of our fans is a regular here and he, along with others from some of the bands from the 60's have decided to invade us on Sunday, playing live from 12 to 4 PM. He's even gone to the trouble of doing some posters which are rapidly going up around the area

There are some very nice people out there
