Thanks Dave

My budjet would be 5 to 10 k, I would wish to fish around the east coast Harwich area, I have looked at a couple of hardy,s both pilots (which i quite like )and a navigator, I have recently looked at a 20ft. shetland which appeared reasonable,
I have had good and bad reports on each of these types and am seeking more advice from current/previous owners and any other suggestions of possible suitable vessels.
I have had the pleasure of looking around a Jeneau? fast fisher style boat 2 years old at 20K, beyond my budjet at this time unfortunatly albeit this type of craft was very appealing to me!

It sounds like you're in the market for 2nd user fishing boats. I was too until I discovered the manufactuer of my new boat, who undercuts their nearest competitor to make it a very affordable package. I'll not advertise them on here - but feel free to mail me off-list for pictures etc.

Look at Seafairer 21s, there is a fishing version with a small fwd wheelhouse and a day fisher version with a small fwd cabin. Boat is 21 foot x 7.6" beam, Very easy driven hull. There were 100s built in the 70s. There is one down at Wharam which is not in very good condition as the superstructurte is wood but hull looked ok
