Hi my name is Johnnie and im looking to purchase our first boat,
I would be gratefull to anyone who may be able to advisr me in the following areas
Hull type
inboard/outboard
performance
economy
seaworthyness
comfort, etc.
My basic requirments are as follows
20 knots speed
seaworthy suitable to fish from basic 2 berth accomodation 5~10k

What is your budget?
Where will you be using it?
You may have some sort of idea of what would be ideal (most probably beyond your budget) so post these thought as well, doesn't matter if it is ridiculous or not, people will help.

I live in hertfordshire and currently sail regularily with my pal on his moody 34 which is based at Shotley point,Harwich
I have plenty of sea fishing experience,I have rya yachtmaster certificate first aid and sea survival certs but no experience of owning a fishing type dayboat/weekender.
I am in negotiations with shotley marina re. mooring fees, I have investigated the park and launch facilities offered at Brightlingsea
My partner and I would predominatly use the vessel at weekends around the above mentioned areas for general fishing and goofing about

Hi,
A friend of mine has a 18 foot Teal with a 60HP outboard on the back, excellent fishing boat up to about force 4, basic 2 berth accomodation can fish up to 3 people ,good freeboard and will do around 34 MPH.
Cost,anywhere from £2000 /£5000
