I've bought another boat because it had a 5hp Tohatsu longshaft 4 stroke motor with it.
That's just what I want for my new boat (the other new boat that I bought last Saturday.)
I intended to sell the boat and trailer on, but it's actually a very nice little boat. Ply/epoxy and very well made (about 6 or 7 years old).

So now I have a dilemma. To sell or not to sell.

Sell, or you'll have to buy another motor to go on it. I assume lugging outboards between boats won't do your back much good either.

Then there's the dilemma of which one to go out in......

Simplify your life and sell it on.

I'd sell it; the one with a cuddy will do you better over the Winter & all things being equal you will have got tired of that and will move it on by the Spring any way...

Why don't you bolt the new one onto the cabin boat, transom to transom, you could end up with a very slippy hulled double ended 28 ish footer, almost similar to the very classy Lakeland steamer style boats. For a man of your capabilities this should be a simple weekend project.

Those oars are rubbish, but I can sell you a decent pair to get you home when the o/b lets you down. I've 2 spare sets, one set s/s sleeved so they can be easily stored. Sails would be better tho.

I think you missed the point. I bought it with a nice outboard and will sell it without.
Nice outboard stays with me.

Is it bad to try different boats?
I like the newness and the fettling. Once they are up to standard I get bored.
If you think I get through boats quickly, you should have known me when I was younger and into cars........

Those look like the oars from a Mirror Dinghy. They may not be beautiful but they work OK.

They seem to be home-made, but so what, oars are not dear, provided you don't insist on wooden ones.
I have some on a wall hook in the garage. I'm not sure if there are 2 or three pairs, plus some in the "other" new boat. I sold the really nice wooden ones with Serendipity.

Keep the new one under cover - you can use it as a tender when you "come to your senses" and buy a saily boat on a mooring...
