Aspera Motors

I have aquired from my brother-in-law (sadly deceased) an ASPERA MOTORS Mac-3 outboard motor. Good compression but no spark. Does anyone out there have any info on these machines? It looks well built and sturdy.
Any info would be well received.

I have an old MAC somewhere in my stables (not used for horses,my boatstore). I also have an old Flymo lawnmower which had the similar engine but with electronic ignition. Now I think about it the engines were techumpsi (spelling does not look right), but I would bet the engines are the same. I did mean to put the electronic ignition engine onto the MAC but haven't yet got round to it. If you go down to your local tip you will probably find lawnmowers with the same engine and you can normally buy them for about £5. Get one that sparks and change the bits onto your MAC.
