I was christened on my parents boat. I loved boating when I was a kid, then hated it as a teenager. Started loving it again a bit later and now been an owner for 11 years. So all in all, 38 years.

started at 10 , with inflatable and outboard, not counting rowing inflatable @8
speed boat followed then tsdy & steel my
now 53.

only a low milage this & last year unfortunately.

so 43 years

On and off for over 30 years.
1 year with Father, fibrocell 8 foot dingy with 4 hp outboard on rivers.
3 years with CCF RN Cadets.
3 years Uni, sailing with friends whos families had more dosh than we had and had their own boats.
3 years windsurfing, I could afford one of those at Uni.
GAP years
2 years going on company arranged flotillas, NOT sunsail, the owners and his friends provided the boats.
BIG GAP, saving money, getting married etc, saving again.
A couple of years underwater, spent the money on SCUBA diving.Playing under the water.
3 years ago bought my first boat (second hand) and love it.
This year, will buy a semi rigid inflatable kayak.
