Thought this might be helpful.

Went to Ashlett creek with my particular friend,SWMBO, last Sunday. Never been before and it turned out to be prodigious nice and tolerably picturesque - excellent yacht club.

Anyway, the almanac states that the channel dries 2.1m. We went in HW-1 and I'd calculated the tidal height of 4.0m leaving 1.9m to play with.

In actual fact I saw 1.3m in a number of places - implication being that it now dries 2.7m. No problem as we draw 1m but we scedaddled sharpish like after a pint in the yacht club.

Did you watch the double high water? Very pronounced there.

Also is the "No entry" sign still up to help you navigate the last dreadful turns?

Yes - but being a finner I didn't want to mess about.

No, no "no entry" signs that I could see.
