At La Roche Bernard, where I keep my boat, the marina staff are keeping an eye on boats and also the AUP (Association des Usagers du Port) will check boats on request.

I wonder if there is anything similar at Arzal. I suppose the first place to ask would be the Arzal Capitainerie.

There's a card in the Capitainerie at Arzal advertising guardiennage, a youngish woman IIRC. Can't remember any more detail but am sure the port will pass the info on.

I met a family in Quiberon on an Amel who's daughter had just started doing that. Maybe the same person. Can't remember her name I'm afraid. She gave me one of her cards, but it's on the boat.

Got a contact from the Capitainerie:

Vous pouvez contacter la société AEL MAT (Mahéva VALERE)

Mail : aelmatgms@yahoo.fr
Tel : 0689554992.

To close this off, if anyone else is suffering from French kept boat depression I've engaged these local guys (there are two of them)
Very impressed with their report on their first visit to the boat, they emptied the dehunmidifiers and refilled them with new blocks, dried out the bilges, reconnected and charged the batteries and sent me detailed photos and report.

Their charges are 35 Euros monthly for a single visit with internal / external thorough check, 60 euros monthly for a two weekly check.
35 euros / hour for any other work done
Very happy and relieved the boat is OK
