Just wanted to commend Arun Sails (near Bosham) for a great service last week. They gave me the best quote for a custom made leecloth when I asked around.

AND when I ordered it on Tuesday and cheekily asked if it could be ready for the weekend they had it ready on the Wednesday at no extra cost..

Thank you.

p.s. no interest in the business just a satisfied customer

Yes we have dealt with arun before and were very impressed with the service and lead time.

out of interest we are looking for lee cloths too at the moment what sort of quotes were you getting and what was included in the quote. Not sure how we intend to fix them in place yet. how are you going about it.

TIA

They've just made me a new Sprayhood, Cockpit Enclosure and Stackpack. Very happy with the work and with my dealings with Arun also.

Lee cloths are very easy to make. You can buy the material from Hawke House in Fareham, and just sew it up with a domestic sewing machine. Hawke House also sell the eyelets which you use for the ties, and to fix the thing down, sew a narrow pocket on the bottom edge and slide in a fibreglass batten, available from your friendly sailmaker. Drill through the cloth and batten and screw or bolt it down, and you are home and dried.
I have just made three for our forthcoming trip. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But to return to the thread, we have had all our sails made by Arun, best price and perfectly good product.
